GUMMIES
~

May 20th, 6:15 pm

GUMMIES by Andi Villa Stover & Lawryn LaCroix is a stunning new play in development with The Shubert Organizations Artistic Circle. Stevie is overjoyed and honored to serve as the Stage Manager of the GUMMIES 29Hour reading and development cycle, appearing one night only. Produced by co-writer Lawryn LaCroix and directed by NJ Agwuna with the choreographic genius of Kristen Brooks Sandler, this beautifully poignant, hilarious, and at times gut-wrenching piece is exactly what we need to hear at this moment in our collective lives.

Gummies dives into the dark, often comedic, unfiltered dialog of a group of multi-racial New Jersey housewives who travel to Las Vegas, eat too many THC-infused gummies one night and share their truths, half-truths, and confessions. Told in a series of vignettes that spiral out from an intoxicated night, the play mixes humor and pathos to explore the experiences of motherhood that are often left unsaid.

Squirrel Screams and Other Dating Sounds
~
June 16th - July 9th 2022

Stevie is currently the Assistant Stage Manager for Squirrel Screams and Other Dating Sounds by Lindsay Timmington, premiering at the Madison Theatre's Lucille Hayes venue this summer. The production is spearheaded by accomplished director Joe Ricci (Whiskeyland!, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, The Panic Diaries).

In a world where you swipe to hookup and ghost to end a relationship, finding something meaningful or even just normal is nearly impossible. Squirrel Screams and Other Dating Sounds follows loud, hard-edged Bridgie (Kaitlyn Black, Heart of Dixie) and quirky, buttoned-up Kate (Josephine Rose Roberts, Rock of Ages) as they navigate the NYC dating landscape in an attempt to find someone in the parade of 10 guys that pass through their midtown bar.

Based on true life stories and spectacularly failing the Bechdel test, this hysterical new play by Lindsay Timmington is an honest look at how difficult it is to date in the new millennium and how the relationships we find aren’t always the ones we’re looking for.

Squirrel Screams and Other Dating Sounds is directed by Joe Ricci and will play at the Lucille S. Hays Theatre at Molloy beginning June 16th!

In The Heights
~

June 3rd - 12th, 2022

Stevie is currently the Props Assistant for the Madison Theatre production of In The Heights. The production is directed & choreographed by the seminal Stephanie Klemons (Hamilton, Bring It On, In The Heights), assisted by Satori Folkes-Stone (Asst. Choreographer) and Brittney Griffin (Asst. Director). She is delighted to share the department with the incomparable Carl Tallent (Props Master).

In the Heights, with music & lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

Tickets available for purchase below through Madison Theatre.

Xanadu
~
June 24th - July 3rd, 2022

Stevie is thrilled to be serving as Props Supervisor for Xanadu at the Madison. With direction by Madison Artistic Director Angelo Fraboni (CATSVictor/Victoria) and choreography by Assistant Artistic Director Bethany Moore (A Chorus Line), this electric, campy wild card of a show isn't one to miss!

This Tony Award-nominated, hilarious, roller skating, musical adventure about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you, rolls along to the original hit score composed by pop-rock legends, Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. Based on the Universal Pictures cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, Xanadu is hilarity on wheels for adults, children and anyone who has ever wanted to feel inspired.

Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first ROLLER DISCO! (Hey, it’s 1980!) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds.

Xanadu is a moving, electrifying tale of endless fun that will keep audiences in stitches while the original legendary, chart-topping tunes lift them out of their seats.

Tickets available for purchase below through Madison Theatre.

epiphany

Stevie's first published poetry collection is one of her proudest achievements.

Description: epiphany is a collection of thirty poems about existence. About what it feels like to love, to miss, to hurt, to reconcile, to soar. So, epiphany is about many things. It is about finding who you are, finding what makes you happy. It is about joy and damage and guilt. It is about who I feel I am at this moment in my life, and who I am becoming. Mostly though, the collection is centered around love. Love for friends, for family, love that can be romantic, deep, lasting, platonic, pervasive. It is about connection, about intersection— about every part of our shared ridiculosity and romanticism and complication and laughter and beauty. This collection holds a special place in my heart for many reasons— it comes at what feels like the precipice of my life, the precipice of my second existence (the one after I realized I only had one). epiphany is from the unsure, for the unsure. We are enough. You are enough.

Available for purchase on Amazon, iBooks, and online at Barnes&Noble.
